TKATSEND Conference

Just before the Easter break, TKATheld its 6th annual SEND Conference, with over 50 colleagues from across the Trust in attendance.

The day started with the guest speaker, David Bartram OBE, who delivered an engaging session on developing the strategic leadership of SEND provision.

SENCO colleagues were then shown how to use Arbor data, to evidence the impact of support and interventions.

Delegates heard from their peers about the benefits and impact of being part of the Whole Education SEND Improvement Programme.

The afternoon saw the launch of the SEND Strategy and time was spent thinking about the implementation of this. Throughout the day the theme of "Achieving More Together" was evident; from sharing good practice examples to the co-production of the SEND Strategy. 

Everyone went away with a copy of 'Beyond Boundaries', David Bartram's latest book and a reminder of Whole Education's message of  "If not us, Who?" - we should all lead and support positive change for our pupils with additional needs because if it is not us, then who?
